Task 6.5 “Baby-Friendly Community & Health Services”, within the work on Healthy Living Environments of Work Package 6 of the Joint Action PreventNCD, organised the online webinar “The first 1000-day window of opportunity: breastfeeding for a healthy start and a healthy future.
The webinar focus on the crucial role of the first 1000 days of life and breastfeeding as a key strategy for the prevention of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and for promoting lifelong health for both mothers and children.
The session features expert presentations highlighting the evidence on breastfeeding for the prevention of NCDs, current strategies to protect, promote and support breastfeeding across Europe, as well as policy, marketing and regulatory aspects related to breast milk substitutes (BMS) in the European context.
